Embassy of Sri Lanka promotes Sri Lankan products in Jordan

The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Amman displayed Sri Lankan products at the annual Christmas Bazaar organized by the Al Hussein Society, Jordan Centre for Training and Inclusion on 07 December 2018.

Prince Raad bin Zeid graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and the Bazaar attracted a large number of visitors, both Jordanians and other expatriates based in Amman.

The Sri Lanka stall exhibited world renowned varieties of Ceylon tea, coconut products, handicrafts, batik and handloom clothes, Ayurvedic and herbal products, natural cosmetic products, spices and Sri Lankan biscuits.

Prince Raad bin Zeid and his spouse Princess Majda Raad, spent a considerable amount of time at the Sri Lanka stall and spoke enthusiastically about Ceylon tea and Sri Lankan spices.

Display of Sri Lankan products provided the opportunity for Jordanian traders, who visited the Bazaar, to learn and witness different varieties of products of Sri Lanka which have not yet been introduced to the Jordanian market.

Visitors to the Sri Lanka stall were served cups of famous Ceylon tea and crunchy Sri Lankan biscuit varieties, demonstrating typical Sri Lankan hospitality.
