Poson was celebrated at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Yangon, Myanmar on 27 June 2018 under the patronage of Charged’ Affaires a.i., G.A. Senaratna and with the participation of members of the Sri Lankan Association in Myanmar and the Embassy staff.
To mark this special religious event, the mid-day Buddha Pooja and Dana ceremony was held at the official residence of the Ambassador for Sri Lankan monks who are residing in monasteries in Myanmar.
The Embassy premises were decorated with colourful lights and Poson lanterns on that day.
