On 02 January 2019, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Seoul commenced its work for the New Year 2019.
The event began with hoisting of the national flag by Charge’ d’ Affaires of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in the Republic of Korea Jagath Abeywarna, followed by singing of the national anthem.
The oath of the public service was read by the staff of the Embassy in Sinhala and English languages. Charge’d’ Affaires of the Embassy addressed the staff and highlighted the necessity to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the public service as indicated in the oath of the public service.
The event concluded with the serving of Sri Lankan cuisine including kiribath to the gathering.
