The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Lebanon successfully organized the Ambassador’s Cricket Tournament on 14 July, 2024 in Beirut with the participation of seventeen teams, including those from the staff of the Embassy and the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) Sri Lanka Army Contingent. Approximately 500 members of the Sri Lankan community in Lebanon gathered at the St. Joseph church ground to support the teams.
The Royal Cricket Club (RCC) won the men’s trophy, while Red Rose won the women’s championship.
The Sri Lankan community highly appreciated the tournament and thanked the Embassy for organizing it, which was open to all Sri Lankans in Lebanon.
