The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Berlin, celebrated the ‘festival of lights’, Deepavali, on 27 October 2019 in the Sri Ganesha Hindu Temple and Sri Mayurapathy Murugan Temple in Berlin.
The special poojas, held in the two temples were attended by Ambassador Eng. Karunasena Hettiarachchi and the staff of the Embassy, along with the Sri Lankan Hindu community living in Berlin.
The Embassy’s participation in the celebrations, highlighting the religious and cultural harmony, provided an impetus in further strengthening relations with the Sri Lankan community living in Berlin.
