External Affairs Deputy Minister Neomal Perera handed over cheques to the value of Rs. 15 million as compensation to the next of kin of two deceased persons. The two Sri Lankans had met their tragic demise in Saudi Arabia. The Consular Affairs Division of the Ministry of External Affairs together with the Sri Lanka Mission in Saudi Arabia made necessary arrangements to obtain the compensation, which is the largest amount received in the recent past.
