On the invitation of the founder and president of the World Tamils Economic Foundation Dr. V.R.S. Sampath, the Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka Dr. D. Venkateshwaran participated as a special guest at the “10th World Tamil Economic Conference and Global Economic Summit 2024” held at the Hotel Le Royal Meridian, in Chennai on 9 January 2024.
In his address, the Deputy High Commissioner emphasized the importance of developing tourism between Southern India and Sri Lanka and encouraged Indian entrepreneurs to explore the FTAs that Sri Lanka has to offer.
