Consul General of Sri Lanka in Toronto Thushara Rodrigo graced the opening ceremony of the Aham Brahmasmi Wellness Center held in Ontario on 01 June 2024. The Buddha Statue of the center was unveiled by the Chief Incumbent of the Toronto Mahavihara Most Venerable Ahangama Rathanasiri Maha Thero.
Addressing the gathering, the Consul General congratulated Mr. Raj Pullendiraraj, a Sri Lankan Canadian and the owner of the center for his efforts to combine the values of Hinduism and Buddhism with nature and humanity enabling the people to enjoy the peace of mind and mental healing through meditation, yoga and positive thinking programmes of the center.
The Chief Incumbent of the Toronto Mahavihara Most Venerable Ahangama Rathanasiri Maha Thero agree to provide the guidance for the meditation programmes.
The Consul General encouraged the management of the center to explore the possibility of introducing Sri Lankan Ayurvedic medicinal healing methods and services from which the aging Sri Lankan Canadian community would benefit immensely.
