Sri Lanka High Commission in Pretoria commenced its work for the Year 2020 on 02 January 2020.
Opening the official Ceremony, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in Pretoria Kumar Mallimaratchi hoisted the National Flag and all the staff members of the High Commission joined to sing the National Anthem.
The gathering observed “two minute” silence to commemorate the war heroes and others who sacrificed their lives for the motherland, before they read and take the Oath of Public Servants.
By delivering a brief remarks at the event, the High Commissioner Mallimaratchi thanked all the staff for their support to achieve the tasks in the past year and emphasized the importance of improve efficiency, productivity and prompt services from the High Commission.
