A 8 member delegation led by Hon.Namal Rajapaksa, Member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka and accompanying Member of the Parliament Hon.U.S Lokubandara visited Kathmandu from 31st March to 1st 2011. The delegation was in Nepal to attend to an event organized by the Entrepreneurs Organisation-Nepal Chapter. At the event, held on 1st April 2011, Hon.Namal Rajapaksa presented a paper on "Sri Lanka-the success story" which was highly commended by the young entrepreneurs around the world.

Sri Lanka at ‘Destination Nature Fair’ in Paris
The annual ‘Destination Nature Fair’ was held in Paris from 25th to 27th March 2011 with the participation of more than 200 companies, including companies from Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka’s participation, which was facilitated by the Embassy of Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, saw the participation of Exotic Global Holidays (Pvt.) Ltd., NKAR Travels and Tours (Pvt.) Ltd. as well as Eco Team (Pvt.) Ltd.

Strengthening bonds with the Women of China
First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa stated that the women of Sri Lanka and China have worked together and co-operated on many endeavors in implementing initiatives taken for the advancement of women of the two countries. She made these observations at a bilateral meeting held with Madam Chen Zhili, Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress and the President of the All-China Women’s Federation (ACWF). The meeting followed the International Women’s Day Celebration held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on 8th March 2011 to which the First Lady of Sri Lanka had been invited as a special guest by the ACWF.
