The Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Guangzhou in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) organized Sri Lanka’s participation at the Guangzhou International Travel Fair (GITF) from 25th – 27th February 2016 at the Canton Exhibition grounds in Guangzhou.
Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera was in Washington DC on 25 and 26 February for the inaugural US – Sri Lanka Partnership Dialogue. The Partnership Dialogue is a regular policy consultation designed to discuss and identify opportunities for cooperation across the full range of bilateral and regional issues.
Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera gave an Address on "Advancing Reconciliation and Democracy" at a leading think-tank, the US Institute of Peace in Washington DC, on 25 February 2016. The event was jointly hosted by the Heritage Foundation.
