The Association of Sri Lankans Living in Indonesia (ASLI) donated much needed sports items and office equipment including a photo copier and projector to Dharmaraja Vidyalaya in Trincomalee. This act of generosity was coordinated under the guidance of Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Indonesia and ASEAN Admiral Prof. Jayanath Colombage. This donation is expected to contribute to the development of sports skills of the students.
The items were ceremonially taken over by the school on 22 March 2024. The event was attended by Ven. T. Gnanakiththi thero, principal Udayasiri Baduge and children of the School.
This is the first time that the ASLI has undertaken such a welfare initiative and they pledged to continue to support schools in need of assistance in the future as well.
