On September 6, 2011, the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Korea, Mr. Tissa Wijeratne, presented his credentials to President Lee Myung-bak at the Presidential Blue House in Seoul, South Korea.
Following the presentation ceremony, President Lee Myung-bak and the Ambassador engaged in a private meeting where they discussed the strengthening relations and developing cooperation between Sri Lanka and South Korea. They also stressed the importance of mutual visits by the country leaders and the intensification of bilateral dialogue. The President further expressed his confidence that progress in bilateral relations will be achieved by discovering new fields for cooperation.
