Ambassador Sisira Senavirathne, resident in Cairo and concurrently accredited to the Kingdom of Morocco, presented a copy of the Letter of Credence to Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, on November 14, 2025 at the Moroccan Foreign Ministry in Rabat.
Following the presentation, Ambassador Senavirathne was granted an audience with Nasser Bourita, during which discussions focused on strengthening and expanding bilateral relations across various sectors, including political, trade, tourism, cultural, and academic cooperation, for the mutual benefit of both countries.
The meeting also emphasized the importance of revitalizing the Political Consultations Mechanism between the two countries as a key measure to enhance cooperation in multiple areas, particularly economic relations. Director for Asian Affairs and Oceania of the Moroccan Foreign Ministry, Omar Kadiri, also attended the meeting.
