A delegation of senior Rotarians from Sri Lanka and Pakistan, led by former Governor of Rotary Club, Colombo District, Pubudu De Zoysa paid a courtesy call on the High Commissioner-designate of Sri Lanka to Pakistan, Rear Admiral Fred Senevirathne (Retired), on 24 July 2025 at the High Commission Premises.
The distinguished delegation included Barrister Adnan Rohaila, Masrur J. Scheik, Shakuet Masood, and Nosherwan Khan, who are senior Rotarians and prominent members of the business community in Pakistan. Minister of this Mission, A. Christy Ruban, and a Rotarian from Sri Lanka, Krishantha Fernando were present at the meeting.
During the meeting, both sides engaged in constructive discussions on the opportunities and challenges related to enhancing trade and business ties between Sri Lanka and Pakistan. They conveyed mutual interest in exploring avenues for deeper economic collaboration and reaffirmed their shared commitment to ongoing community service initiatives led by Rotary Clubs in both countries.
The meeting underscored the importance of people-to-people connections and highlighted the pivotal role of service organizations like Rotary Club in fostering bilateral cooperation and goodwill.
