The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Warsaw participated in the 17th edition of the SHOM Charity Bazaar held at the National Stadium in Warsaw on 08 December 2024. The bazaar aimed to bring together diverse cultures and communities for the purpose of raising funds for over 20 charities in Poland that address the needs of the less fortunate. The event was organized under the Honorary Patronage of First Lady of Poland, Agata Kornhauser-Duda.

Fifty embassies participated in the bazaar, selling authentic products and cuisine of different countries to the public, for charitable and promotional purposes.

The stall of the Embassy of Sri Lanka sold traditional Sri Lankan “wade” with hot cups of “Ceylon tea”. The stand was vividly decorated, and displayed an array of handicrafts including woven fabric, batik, traditional masks, as well as spices and posters of tourist and cultural sites.

The event marked a significant occasion for the international community in Poland to come together in support of important causes while celebrating and promoting the diverse cultures and products.
