Madurika Joseph Weninger, Consul General of Sri Lanka, Frankfurt am Main, Germany presented the Letter of Commission to His Excellency Volker Bouffier, Minister President of the State of Hessen at a ceremony held on the 15th of May, 2019 at the Hessen State Chancellery in Wiesbaden. The Consul General during the ensuing conversation outlined the long standing friendship between Sri Lanka and Germany, and reaffirmed the commitment to further relations in all areas of engagement during her tenure. The Minister President extended condolences on the recent terror attacks and condemned terrorism in all its forms. The Minister President Bouffier also had a discussion on Consular matters and on partnership with Sri Lanka in trade and investment and enhancing cooperation in the related fields. The ceremony was attended by the officials of the State Chancellery and the Protocol.
