Social Democratic Party of India handed over a Memorandum expressing grave concern over violence erupted in Sri Lanka

 Senior Leaders of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) met High Commissioner Austin Fernando on 17th May 2019 at his Office.

The delegation discussed about the sporadic incidents of violence that has erupted in Sri Lanka. They said that they have vehemently condemned the radical elements.  The SDPI members said that they are confident that the Government of Sri Lanka will take steps to ensure the safety of all communities in Sri Lanka.  The High Commissioner stressed the fact that the events on the 21st April are consequences of global radicalisation and should be handled with due attention.

The delegation from the SDPI comprised of M K Faizy, National President, National Vice President, Sharfuddin Ahmed, National Vice President Dahlan Baqvi Shiek h Moammad (Vice President), Abdul Majeed KH (National General Secretary)  and Mohammad Shafi (National General Secretary)  and Dr Tasleem Ahmed Rehmani, National Secretary.
