Sri Lanka participates at the 33rd Anuga International Trade Fair in Cologne
The 33rd Edition of the Anuga International 2015, the biggest General Food and Beverages Exhibition of the world was held in Cologne, Germany from 10th to 14th October 2015. 7063 companies from 108 nations exhibited their products to the 160,000 trade visitors from 192 Nations.
Sri Lanka’s First Ambassador to Ecuador presents Credentials
The Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Cuba, Sarath Dissanayake presented his Letter of Credence to the Acting President of the Republic of Ecuador, Jorge David Glas Espinel on 28th September 2015, as Sri Lanka’s first Ambassador to Ecuador, at a simple but colorful ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Quito, the capital of Ecuador.

U.S Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues, Catherine Russell, is visiting Sri Lanka from 27 -29 October 2015.
Sri Lanka joins the Open Government Partnership
Sri Lanka endorsed the Open Government Declaration committing “to foster a global culture of open government that empowers and delivers for citizens, and advances the ideals of open and participatory 21st century government,” thereby becoming the newest participating country of the Open Government Partnership (OGP). Sri Lanka is the only South Asian participating country in the OGP and joins other countries in the Asian region such as Indonesia, Mongolia, Philippines and Republic of Korea.
