Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Japan, met with the Senior Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Norio Mitsuya, this week, as a follow up to the recently held Human Rights Council [HRC] elections in Geneva. Ambassador Karannagoda expressed the gratitude of the Government of Sri Lanka to the Government of Japan for abstaining on the vote on the Resolution against Sri Lanka at the HRC, thus demonstrating to the international community Japan’s stand in upholding justice and fair play.
