Generous Support extended towards the country by a Sri Lankan Muslim Brother in UAE

Upon the invitation extended to all Sri Lankans in the UAE by Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the UAE Malraj De Silva, requesting for donations of medical equipment and monetary assistance to Sri Lanka in the face of emergency engendered due to the increasing number of COVID-19 patients, a well-established Sri Lankan Muslim brother who is the Chief Executive Officer of the Siraj Finance PJSC in Abu Dhabi Mohamed Rusan Fyroze donated AED 100,000/ (SLRs. 54,00,000/-) to the ‘Itukama’ COVID-19 Healthcare and Social security Fund on 03 June 2021.

Ambassador Malraj De Silva arranged a virtual meeting for Chief Executive officer Mohamed Fyroze with the Senior Advisor to the President of Sri Lanka Lalith Weeratunga on 03 June 2021, in order to symbolically handover the donation to the COVID-19 fund. On behalf of the President of Sri Lanka, the Senior Advisor Lalith Weeratunga extended deep appreciation to Chief Executive officer Mohamed Fyroze for the generous support extended towards the country at this crucial time that our motherland needs the support of all Sri Lankans living abroad.
