The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Viet Nam participated in the Ha Noi Fall Festival 2023, organized by the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations (HAUFO) from 29 September to 1 October 2023 in Hoan Kiem District, Ha Noi. The fair was organized with the objective of introducing Viet Nam’s culture, heritage, and cuisine to the World and also exchanging and promoting the culture, heritage, cuisines, and tourism of other countries.
The Sri Lankan booth was one of the main attractions of the fair with authentic Sri Lankan food and Ceylon tea being served. The stall was decorated with images of Sri Lanka’s tourist attractions. Sri Lankan handicraft items and batiks added colour to the stall. Brochures on the diverse options available to travellers to Sri Lanka, such as culture, heritage, bliss and wild, were distributed to the visitors. Leaflets on Ceylon tea tips were also distributed among the visitors to promote Ceylon Tea in Vietnam.
Over 2,000 local and foreign visitors visited the fair which provided an immense opportunity to promote Sri Lankan culture, cuisine, tea, and tourism.
