Visit of Russian Delegation of the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly - 30th November – 2nd December

A five-member delegation led by Mr. Ilyas Mahomed-Salomovich Umakhanov, Vice Chairman of the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly visited Sri Lanka from 30^th November to 2^nd December 2015.

A five-member delegation led by Mr. Ilyas Mahomed-Salomovich Umakhanov, Vice Chairman of the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly visited Sri Lanka from 30^th November to 2^nd December 2015.

The delegation from the Council of the Federation (Upper Chamber) of the Federal Assembly visited Sri Lanka on the invitation of Hon. Karu Jayasuriya, Speaker of Parliament.

During the visit, the delegation held meetings with Hon. Karu Jayasuriya, Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Thilanga Sumathipala, Deputy Speaker and also called on Hon. Mangala Samaraweera, Minister of Foreign Affairs yesterday, on Tuesday, 1^st December 2015. The delegation also  held discussions with the Sri Lanka – Russia Parliamentary Friendship Association.
