Members of Sri Lankan Community and the Cultural Center attached to the Sri Lankan Consulate General under auspicious of the Sri Lanka Mission in Dubai organized a grand Vesak Festival celebration and Perahera on 10th May 2013 at Latifa Hospital Ground in Dubai. Students of Sri Lanka Daham Pasal in Dubai presented various musical, dance and cultural performances at the event.

Hon. M.L.A.M.Hizbullah, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Dr. Mahinda Balasuriya, Ambassador of Sri Lanka in the UAE and Mr. Abdul Raheem, Consul General of Sri Lanka in Dubai were the Chief Guests at the celebration. More than 5000 Sri Lankan community members attended the function which included cultural events, religious observance, colorful vesak stands and traditional Sri Lankan foods.
