The Embassy of Sri Lanka to Lebanon and Syria Commemorated Vesak sil program at the Embassy premises on 26 and 30 May 2021.
Rev. Marathugoda Uparathna Thero from Copenhagen Buddhist temple, Denmark, conducted the religious program through zoom technology.
The Embassy staff, the migrant community, Lebanese nationals, Sri Lankans working at UN and Red Cross observed sil and followed a guided meditation. Midday alms was offered to those who observed sil by the community collectively.
Amisa Pooja including offering of flowers, incense, Gilanpasa and lighting of Vesak lanterns was done in the evening.
