The High commission of Sri Lanka for Singapore participated in “The Trees of the World 2012’’ organized by the Singapore Botanic Gardens.
The event saw the participation of embassies, schools, societies, NGOs and corporate partners who came together to decorate and light up over 200 trees, which transformed the Singapore Botanic Gardens into a magical wonderland.
The tree designated to Sri Lanka kept up its true Sri Lankan identity with decorations ranging from miniature Vesak lanterns, traditional Sri Lankan masks, jeweled elephants, and Sri Lanka Tea bags.
This event will continue until 6th January 2013.
