A woman weeps at a commemoration ceremony at the SLAF trade training school, Ekala-Ja-ela on Tuesday. The SLAF honoured officers and men killed during the three decade conflict at a ceremony attended by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke, who laid the first wreath followed by a former Commander of the Air Force Air Chief Marshal Walter Fernando. The Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala, Director Welfare, Air Vice Marshal M. L. K. Perera, representatives of all ranks and civilians of the Air Force laid wreaths at the monument. Spouses and children of the personnel killed in action were also present.
