The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani arrived in the island yesterday on the invitation of President Mahinda Rajapaksa. He is here on a two-day official visit. The Emir and his delegation of high ranking officials of the Qatari government were greeted at the Bandaranaike International Airport by President Rajapaksa and several ministers. A Guard of Honour by the Sri Lanka Navy and a 21 Gun Salute by the Sri Lankan Army were accorded to the Qatari Sheikh. Picture by Sudath Silva
