The Consul General of Toronto Thushara Rodrigo graced the annual prize giving ceremony of Toronto Maha Vihara Dhamma School on 9 June 2024.
Addressing the gathering, the Consul General commended the great services of the Chief Incumbent the Most Ven. Ahangama Rathanasiri Nayake Thero, the Principal of Dhamma School the Most Ven. Udupihille Wimalabuddhi Thero and the members of Maha Sangha of Toronto Mahavihara to the community.
Also he appreciated the courage and strong dedication of teachers and parents of students for guiding the young generation to align their future with the values, principles and practices of Buddhism. He further said that the children who are living in a technologically driven highly competitive modern global environment can immensely benefit from the essence of Buddhism to make their lifestyle happy and prosperous.
