President Gotabaya Rajapaksa is scheduled to undertake a State Visit to India from 29-30 November 2019, on an invitation extended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During the visit President Rajapaksa will meet President Ram Nath Kovind and hold bilateral talks with Indian Prime Minister. President Rajapaksa will also meet with other Indian dignitaries.
The State Visit to India is the first overseas visit by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa since his assumption of Office as President of Sri Lanka, this month.
The President will be accompanied by Dr.P.B. Jayasundera, Secretary to the President, Mr. Ravinatha Aryasinha, Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. S.R. Attygalle, Secretary, Ministry of Finance and Mr. Lalith Weeratunga, Advisor to the President.
