The Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Mumbai together with the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce organized Sri Lanka’s participation at the World Trade Expo 2023 from 3 to 4 October 2023 in Mumbai.
The Expo was jointly organized by World Trade Center Mumbai and All India Association of Industries (AIAI) and inaugurated by the Governor of Maharashtra, Ramesh Bais. It was an effective platform for Sri Lankan participants to identify opportunities in trade, investment and tourism. Consul General of Sri Lanka in Mumbai Dr. Valsan Vethody, delivered a speech on trade, tourism and investment opportunities in Sri Lanka at the Country presentations.
This trade show was organised to facilitate networking for MSMEs, women entrepreneurs, start-ups and corporate houses with diplomatic missions, Chambers of Commerce and Government agencies. Sri Lankan Airlines, Success Holding Pvt. Ltd., Merchant Lanka Pvt. Ltd., Worldwide Commodities Pvt. Ltd., BroadPAC Inc, Hidden Hills Estate Pvt. Ltd and Sri Lanka consulate participated at the Expo to promote investment, tourism, Ceylon tea, spices, herbal tea and ICT.
