Sri Lanka’s Ambassador-designate to Sultanate of Oman, Omar Lebbe Ameerajwad presented Open Copy of his Letter of Credence to H.E. Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali al- Harthy, Under Secretary for Diplomatic Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman on 22 July 2019. Chief of Protocol, Ambassador Nasser Mohamed Al- Busaidi, Desk Officer for Political Affairs (Sri Lanka), Ahmed Al-Qasmi and Minister of the Sri Lanka Embassy in Muscat, W.A.K.S.De Alwis were also present at this occasion.
During the meeting, Ambassador-designate Ameerajwad extended warm greetings to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said and to the friendly People of Oman on the occasion of 49th Renaissance Day on 23 July 2019 which marks the occasion of His Majesty’s ascendance to the throne in 1970.
