Sri Lankans living in the Kingdom of Eswatini (Swaziland) warmly welcomed the newly appointed High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Eswatini resident in Pretoria, A.K. Mallimaratchi on 24 May 2019 in Mbabane, Eswatini.
Sri Lanka High Commissioner in Pretoria is accredited to 8 countries; Angola, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Eswatini. Sri Lankans in Eswatini hosted a reception to welcome the High Commissioner. Almost all Sri Lankans living in Eswatini attended the event and thanked the High Commissioner for looking after their welfare.
Speaking at the event, High Commissioner Mallimaratchi said that he was truly delighted to see the unity of Sri Lankans living in Eswatini and that his duty is to serve all Sri Lankans living in his host country and accredited countries. He asked them not to hesitate to contact his office for any assistance. High Commissioner Mallimaratchi was accompanied by Mrs. Mallimaratchi and Counsellor, Priyangani Hewarathna.(ends)
