Sri Lankan community members in Riyadh Saudi Arabia celebrated the Vesak Festival on the 19th May 2019 at the Embassy premises. The day long program was comprised with Sil program and evening Dhamma Session, a Pahan Puja ceremony and a dan sel program.
A Vesak pandol and a display of colourful lanterns were arranged by the community members to illuminate this Day. Christian community members served an ice office dan sela for more than thousand participants, including Islam, Christian and Hindu devotees.
While continuing the tradition of supporting all community related activities, the staff of the Embassy of Sri Lanka jointly organized this event with the Sri Lankan community members in Riyadh.
