Venora Lanka Power Panels (Pvt.) Ltd., manufacturer of power panels to mega projects in Sri Lanka and abroad, launched its products in the Ethiopian market under the auspices of Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union Commission Sumith Dassanayake on 05 October 2018 at Harmony Hotel in Addis Ababa.
The product launching event was attended by over 50 guests representing the Ethiopian business community and the construction industry, including electrical engineers, electrical consultants and other professionals.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Dassanayake welcomed the launch of Venora products in the Ethiopian market, and invited Sri Lankan and Ethiopian entrepreneurs to make use of the prevailing opportunities which are conducive for bilateral trade and investment in Sri Lanka and Ethiopia. The Ambassador also briefed the gathering on the opportunities available for tourism, trade and foreign investments in Sri Lanka. Following Ambassador Dassanayake’s speech, a short video featuring Sri Lanka’s tourist and cultural attractions was screened.
Praharsha Gangaboda, Business Development Manager and Dr. Deepak Pathareat, Director, International Marketing of Venora Group made presentations on Venora products and services.
Venora is in partnership with two local companies in Ethiopia, namely, Eulogia Electromechanical PLC and Horra Trading PLC. Venora's power panel assembling is in compliance with IEC 61439 standard, and it supplies electrical panel boards to overseas projects in India, Bangladesh, Maldives, Myanmar, Seychelles and Kenya. The company has won a number of international awards, including Global Award at the Golden Awards for Quality and the Business Prestige held in 2015.
