The outgoing High Commissioner for Sri Lanka in Nigeria Thambirajah Raveenthiran paid a farewell call on President Buhari of Nigeria at Presidential Palace on 03 September 2019 at Abuja.
The Sri Lankan envoy thanked the President for affording an opportunity to meet him and bid farewell before he winds up his official duties in Nigeria.
The High Commissioner also conveyed greetings from President Maithripala Sirisen to President Buhari and availed of the opportunity to express his gratitude to the President and his Government for all unstinted support and whole-hearted cooperation extended to him in the performance of his duties.
During the interaction, the Sri Lankan envoy requested the President to consider reopening of Nigeria High Commission in Colombo as a matter of priority since it stands in the way of further cementing relations between the two countries.
The Attaché of the High Commission, Wajira Kumara accompanied the High Commissioner for the meeting.
