On the occasion of the 67th anniversary of Independence, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Kuwait organized a ceremony on the 04th February 2015 at the Embassy premises in Jabriya.
In the presence of large gathering of Sri Lankans and other well wishes, the Ceremony begun with the hoisting of National flag by the Charge d’ Affaires, Mr. N M M Anas followed by the singing of the national anthem. Two minutes silence was observed for the armed forces as a mark of respect for their sacrifices. Religious observances conducted by the dignitaries representing the four major religion of Sri Lanka.
This was followed by the reading of National Day messages from H.E. the President, Hon. Prime Minister and Hon. Foreign Minister. At the end of the ceremony refreshments were served.
