As part of a welfare project initiated by the Sri Lankan Embassy in Jakarta together with MIWA Pattern, a clothing designer company under the leadership of Mira Hoeng, Dharmaraja School in Trincomalee has purchased ceiling fans for all classrooms, a public address system with all accessories, fifty chairs for the assembly hall and some furniture for the principal’s office.
The ceremony to mark this event was attended by the Secretary of Education, Zonal and Provincial Directors of Education for Eastern Province and Trincomalee, The Chief Incumbent of China Bay Bodhi Rajarama Aluthgama Saddatissa Thero, Trincomalee Gnanakiththi Thero of Sri Dharsana Temple, and principal, teachers, and students of Dharmaraja school.
All the dignitaries appreciated the goodwill gesture and efforts undertaken by the Sri Lankan Embassy in Jakarta and MIWA Pattern to assist this school in uplifting the standards for students therein.
