The Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Indonesia Admiral Prof. Jayanath Colombage attended a cultural festival held by the International Relations students of Pertamina University on 26 June 2023. The 1st Regional Dynamic Forum (RDF) at Pertamina University Jakarta was also attended by the Rector of Pertamina University, Prof. Wawan Gunawan and the Dean of two faculties in the University, Dr. Dewi Hangraeni.
Sri Lankan Ambassador was warmly welcomed by the Prof. Wawan Gunawan and thanked him for sponsoring the Sri Lanka Group by providing Sri Lankan Traditional Dress, National Flag and other souvenirs. The Rector of the Pertamina University was very pleased with the presence of Admiral Prof. Jayanath Colombage at the Pertamina University.
The Ambassador delivered a brief speech on relations between Indonesia and Sri Lanka and provided information on cultural and economic growth in Sri Lanka. After witnessing the Drama performance of the Sri Lanka Group, Ambassador Colombage and the Rector of the Pertamina University discussed the potential for collaboration between Pertamina University and the Embassy. Sri Lankan Ambassador was invited to give public lectures by Rector and Lecturers of Pertamina University, as has been done at the Indonesian Defense University.
