Sri Lanka participated for the second time in ASTINDO FAIR 2018 , held from 02nd to 04th March 2017 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). Five Sri Lankan travel and tour companies- GREEN HOLIDAY (www.greenholidaytravels.com) ,Nawamini Travels (Pvt) Ltd (www.nawamini.travel) , Nkar Travels sgml@nkartravelhouse.com and Sri Lankan Airlines participated in the event.
ASTINDO FAIR is one of Indonesia’s biggest and comprehensive tourism forums held annually, promoting direct access to Indonesia’s and international tourism industry and customers. Jakarta fair is attended and visited by large number of local and international participants, public, clients, media etc.
The Pavilion portrayed Sri Lanka’s rich and diverse tourism product, capturing heritage, wild life, cuisine, adventure, bliss etc. Sri Lanka pavilion was ceremonially opened by the ASTINDO Chief Guest Mrs Rizki Handayani Mustafa, Deputy of Marketing Development of South East Asia, Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia, following the ASTINDO opening on 02nd March 2018. Traditional Sri Lankan oil lamp was lit by the Chief Guest, other officials, Ambassador of Sri Lanka, and other representatives, including representation of Sri Lankan companies, ASTINDO organising committee and Embassy officials.
Sri Lanka’s participation in ASTINDO 2018 is a partnership between Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTB), The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Jakarta and Sri Lankan tourism industry.
