The Embassy of Sri Lanka held a Flag Hoisting Ceremony to celebrate the Sri Lanka Independence Day on 04 February 2020 at the Chancery in Oslo. The Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Samanmali Atalugama read the President’s speech at the Independence Day ceremony and addressed the gathering.
Multi-faith religious observances were conducted invoking blessings on the people and the country. Sri Lanka expatriates from all the ethnic communities participated at the ceremony. The Chargé d'Affaires a.i hosted a dinner to all participants at the conclusion of the ceremony.
