Ambassador Rizvi Hassen handed over the Commission of Appointment to the new Honorary Consul of Sri Lanka to Bursa, Marmara region Ahmed Yildiz on 24 February 2020. The Mission established a new Honorary Consulate office in Bursa to promote and enhance trade, investment and tourism activities in the Marmara region. The Mission also expects to strengthen relations with government and private entities in the region and also to increase exchanges in the field of education, performing arts and culture.
Mr. Ahmed Yildiz, is serving as the Deputy Mayor of the metropolitan city of Bursa and is a reputed businessman in Bursa.
