The Embassy staff together with the team of ‘National Anthem Ring Project’ in Tokyo organized a successful cultural exchange programme with over 60 Japanese participants on 18 January at the Embassy premises.
The theme of the event was National Anthem of Sri Lanka. Embassy presentation educated the participants how National anthem unites everyone to live as ‘Sri Lankans’ irrespective of their ethnicity or the language they speak. The question and answer session focused more on culture, customs, sports, economy, natural beauty and food in Sri Lanka. Participants also experienced singing the Sri Lankan national anthem and tasting authentic food and drink.
