On 10th June, 2017 the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Vienna, Austria hosted a religious event to commemorate the Vesak and Poson Festival within the Embassy premises.
This event is also graced by the presence of Hon. Wasantha Senanayake, MP State Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Ambassador Mrs. Priyanee Wijesekera welcomed the Sri Lankan Community at the Embassy and religious observances were conducted by Chief Incumbent of Dhammazentrum in Vienna Ven. Dr. Wijayarajapura Seelawansa Thero. Devotional songs were sung by the Children of Sri Lanka Community, the Staff of the Embassy as well as the Adult Members of the Sri Lanka Community.
On the 3rd of June 2017 the Ambassador and her staff also offered Heel Dana at the Dhammazentrum where the Chief Incumbent Ven. Dr. Wijayarajapura Seelawansa Thera bestowed his blessings and good wishes to Hon. Wasantha Senanayake, State Minister of Foreign Affairs and the staff of the Embassy.
