Sri Lanka Embassy in Warsaw participated in the International Charity Bazaar 2019, held at the Marriot Hotel in Warsaw. The Charity Bazaar was organized by the Association of Spouses of Heads of Missions (SHOM) Warsaw on the 8th of December 2019.
The event is held to raise funds for charitable organizations that help the poor and ailing children, women, and elderly people in Poland.
The Bazaar showcased a wide array of products from all around the world, with approximately 63 countries participating and showcasing their country products at the Fair. Approximately 20,000 visitors attended the fair which provided shopping of high-quality exotic products at low prices.
Opening the Stall, the Ambassador and the staff encouraged the customers to experience the taste of high-quality Ceylon Tea. The Sri Lanka Stall, drew large crowds with Ceylon Tea sponsoring the consumer tea stall and with the support of Sri Lanka Tea Board, the Embassy was able to promote Ceylon Tea under the wide array of tea sold by Dilmah Tea, Impra, Akbar Brothers and Ergo International.
The Sri Lanka stall also displayed Sri Lankan Porcelain products. The Bazaar was a huge success and this year the money collected would benefit deserving charities in Poland.
