The Commonwealth Business Council in London is collaborating actively with the Ministry of External Affairs to enhance the inflow of investment into Sri Lanka, as a result of the Business Forum.
Chambers of Business and Commerce and major entrepreneurs from countries in the Commonwealth, as well as from several other countries which have significant trade links with Sri Lanka, are expected to participate in the Business Forum in Colombo. Many leading business personalities have already confirmed participation.
Project proposals, from both the public and the private sectors, which are expected to stimulate interest among participants, are in the process of being finalised.
After his meeting with Minister Peiris, Mr. Callaghan took part in a discussion with representatives of the Trade Chambers in Sri Lanka, involved in the arrangements.
