Former Malaysian PM to inaugurate two mega projects

Dr. Mahathir Mohamed, the former Prime Minister of Malaysia will be the Chief Guest at the inauguration of two development projects in Katunayake and Hambantota. He is in Sri Lanka to deliver the key note address at the Hambantota Conclave Gathering on December 10 at BMICH.

The Siribopura, Hambantota event would be for a housing project which is to be under taken by Quest Ventures Developments of Malaysia. Tan Sri Abu Sahid Mohamed, Group Executive Chairman of The Maju Group of Companies of Malaysia, Dato Patrick Lim, Director of Quest Ventures and Namal Rajapaksa, Member of Parliament would attend this event.

The following day the former Prime Minister has being invited for the inauguration of a Mixed Development Project Katunayake EPZ, near Bandaranaike International Airport.

Group Executive Chairman of The Maju Group of Companies of Malaysia, Minister of Investment Promotion Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena, Chairman of the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka Lakshman Jayaweera would also attend this event.

Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad was the fourth Prime Minister of Malaysia. He held the post for 22 years from 1981 to 2003, making him Malaysia's longest-serving Prime Minister. His political career spanned almost 40 years and he continues to play an instrumental role in facilitating positive relations between Sri Lanka and Malaysia.
