Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera met with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi during the latter's transit at BIA en route to Beijing from Africa. The two Foreign Ministers had a brief and friendly discussion on matters of mutual interest. The Deputy Foreign Minister, Dr. Harsha de Silva, Chinese Ambassador in Colombo, H.E. Yi Xianliang and the Director General for East Asia & Pacific of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. O.L. Ameer Ajwad were also present.
