Based on the request of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Moscow State Minister of Rattan, Brass, Pottery, Furniture and Rural Industrial Promotion Prasanna Ranaweera handed over a number of cultural items, including dancing costumes, Batik items, paintings, handicrafts, music instruments, display items, etc. to State Minister of Regional Cooperation Tharaka Balasuriya to be further delivered to the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Russia.
These cultural items will be used at the Sri Lankan cultural, tourism and tea promotional events organized by the Embassy in Russia and other countries of accreditation.
Some of the items will be donated by the Embassy to several museums exhibiting Sri Lankan cultural items around Russia in order to preserve the Sri Lankan cultural values.
