Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Southern India Dr. D. Venkateshwaran had a meeting with Minister for Information Technology and Digital Services of the Government of Tamil Nadu Dr. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan (PTR) on 15 September 2023 at his Office in Chennai.
During the meeting, the Deputy High Commissioner underscored the importance of India exploring investment opportunities in Sri Lanka, especially in the technology sector where Sri Lanka possesses considerable potential. They further discussed about setting up an IT park in Sri Lanka.
The Deputy High Commissioner invited the minister and a delegation from Tamil Nadu to visit Sri Lanka to conduct technical-level discussions with Sri Lankan counterparts in the IT sector for possible investments.
